Private Beta for Polish audience, day 1

Monday, May 25th, 2009

Today was the first day of Private Beta programme for Polish audience. Invitations were sent and feedback was impressive. After squashing few bugs 10 new blogs could happily host Folksr widget. A person who greatly helped in tweaking Foksr is Rozie, so please visit his blog and play with the widget for a while (it’s soooo addictive!).

Also, password reset facility has been developed, as well as password change screen. Minor tweaks include XSLT sheet for sitemap file, XHTML compliance in Jogger.pl blog engine, better results for Similar Blogs, and follow/index rules here and there.

After one week of private beta tests for Polish audience, we are planning to extend the availability of Folksr to anyone on planet Earth!

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

After some problems with domain transfer we are back up again. Alive and ready to accept Beta stage participants. We are now cowardly inviting early adopters!

Should you join Folksr right now please feel free to request activation code. This is to keep initial Folksr traffic under control. We will get rid of this registration code thing once we are sure there are no bugs – first impression matters and we would like to avoid offending users with some obscure errors.

Mind that it took several years for Gmail to move from Beta to final release!

Register now.

Na opracowanie wersji dla innych języków przyjdzie z pewnością poczekać, póki co możemy cieszyć się, że chrząszcz zabrzmiał w trzcinie :-)

(a tutaj to samo ogłoszenie po angielsku)
